Northern Arizona freshman Nico Young took second in the men's 8-kilometer yellow race Friday in 22:30.7 at the Battle Born Collegiate XC Challenge at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. Young took runner-up to teammate Abdihamid Nur, who clocked 22:30.5, as the Lumberjacks placed five scorers in the top eight to prevail against Stanford by a 20-48 margin.
