Stanford redshirt freshman Charles Hicks placed sixth in the men's 8-kilometer yellow race Friday in 22:57.9 at the Battle Born Collegiate XC Challenge at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. Hicks led five Stanford scorers in the top 12 to place second overal against Northern Arizona by a 20-48 margin.
