Colorado senior Alec Hornecker secured seventh place in the men's 8-kilometer yellow race Friday in 23:10.6 at the Battle Born Collegiate XC Challenge at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. Hornecker was one of five Colorado scorers in the top 30, as the Buffaloes placed third overall with 70 points.
